Neuse Realty was founded in 1977 specializing in waterfront and amenity-oriented properties. The Company is located at the entrance to one of Eastern North Carolina's most established communities, Fairfield Harbour. Over this time, we have served a great number of satisfied customers and clients.

As an independently owned business for 29 years, we stand on our reputation for reliable and sensitive service to those seeking to sell or purchase a residence, a recreationally oriented second home, or an investment property. We have also expanded our management and commercial services at this time.

As of 2006, 5 women Brokers bought into the company stock. The transfer was completed in January 2006, with the following shareholders joining Margaret Rose as the ownership team: Pat Chaconas-Dumon, Joy Harsen, Sandy Perry, Margie Rowe and Marcia Werneke. Peter Rose serves as Director Emeritus. Margaret Rose has been named President of Neuse Realty, Inc.

Pat Chaconas-Dumon, GRI, CRB

Pat has been licensed as a salesperson and broker since 1978, beginning her career in Montgomery County, Maryland. In addition to many awards and achievements, Pat has earned both the Graduate Realtors Institute and Certified Residential Broker designations. Since moving to New Bern in late 2000 and joining Neuse Realty in the Fall of 2001, Pat has earned the 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 New Bern Board of Realtors $Million Production awards. Her real estate career experience includes residential and new home sales, branch office management, teaching, and extensive training of both new agents and experienced professionals. Pat and her husband/partner, Bob Dumon, provide the highest level of customer service, as reflected by their steady flow of repeat clients and personal referrals.

Joy M. Harsen, GRI

In the New Bern Board of Realtors, she is Chairman of the Educations Committee. She has been a multi million dollar sales producer since 1999 and ranks as one of the top 25 realtors in the Greator New Bern Area.

Sandy Perry

Sandy is a Sales Associate with Neuse Realty, Inc for over two years. She recently took advantage of becoming part-owner in NRI when the opportunity presented itself. Sandy has been recognized as a Multi-Million Dollar Realtor, and a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. In addition, she is very active in the Fairfield 9-Hole Ladies Golf Association, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Embroidery Guild of America-Tryon Chapter, the New Bern Women's Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Coastal Women's Forum. She also has 37 years experience with the Federal Government in U.S. Public Health Service and looks forward to her new career in Real Estate. Sandy has been coming to the Fairfield Harbour Timeshares for 29 years. As a result, she is well acquainted with the New Bern area and has witnessed many of the changes in New Bern and is surrounding areas. Also, Sandy acquired numerous pieces of property within Craven County and is familiar with the expanding neighborhoods all over the New Bern region.

Prior to joining NRI, Sandy had over 37 years experience with the Federal Government. As a realtor, Sandy loves to show prospective buyers homes and properties within the greater New Bern area. Actively involved in residential brokerage ownership since 1988, Margaret consistently ranks in the top 10% of all residential practitioners in the New Bern area.

Prior to purchasing the firm together with her husband, Margaret held increasingly senior position in the hospitality and relocation industries. She has served as a adjunct faculty member at Los Angeles Trade Tech, Bergen Community College and New York Trade Tech College; she served as full time faculty at County College of Morris while she was a hotel broker for National Hotel Realty. In 2003, she joined the Commercial Alliance of the NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS and continues to serve.

She is a frequent speaker at industry events, with a particular focus on real estate investments. She holds an undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin. Special pursuits include music and humane society activities.

Margie Rowe, Office Manager, Relocation Certified Coordinator

Margie has administered Neuse Realty for the past 13 years and this year she made an exciting new step and became one of the new owners. Additionally, Margie has developed and coordinated the relocation department. She says "Service is our hallmark, I look forward to hearing from you."

On a more personal note, Margie was born and raised in New Bern and she and her husband Garland have made their life here, with their daughters, Brooke and Stacey. Her oldest, Brooke, got married 2 years ago and is now residing in Greenville, NC. Her youngest, Stacey, lives at home and attends the local community college. Margie is very close with all of her friends and family and feels very blessed and thankful to have such a special bond with them. She and Garland attend New Song United Methodist Church and they love being a part of such an exciting, growing ministry.

Marcia Werneke, GRI

Marcia comes from a marketing and sales background with a Dunn & Bradstreet advertising firm. She was the President of the New Bern Board of Realtors for 2004 and received the "Realtor of the Year" award. Marcia currently serves as a Director of the New Bern Board of Realtors, a Director of the New Bern Multiple Listing Service and Chair of the Public Relations Committee. Marcia has been a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable for over five years.
