Biography:
After a 34 year career with the Federal government with an extensive background in strategic and long-range planning and administration, my wife and I relocated from the Washington D.C. area. We first looked to Lewisburg, WV, wonderful place nestled in the Greenbrier Valley. We looked to New Bern, NC. I would like to tell you all why this is the area where you want to be. While in WV I earned a real estate license. In addition to the listing and selling aspect of the business I served three terms as President of the Greenbrier Valley Board of REALTORS®; Secretary of the West Virginia Association of REALTORS®, and Chaired both the State's Strategic Planning, and Technology Committees; and, served as the National Association of REALTORS® Political Contact with Senator Rockefeller. In order to serve my clients and customers better I have completed the educational and professional requirements necessary to be awarded the following designations and certifications: e-PRO - the only NAR approved Internet Certification Program designed to give customers confidence that I am proactive and savvy about the Internet and take the Connected Consumer seriously as well as meet their online needs. SRES - The SRES designation focuses on the needs of home buyers and sellers aged 55 and over. C-CREC - the first international designation focused on results-oriented skills required by consumers - not what the real estate industry chooses to deliver to them. GREEN - designed to recognize a REALTOR® as a resource for consumers concerned with a link between green properties, cost saving, and healthy living. SFR - Knowing how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities My real estate business has afforded me the opportunity to become involved in a number of civic and charitable activities. I served as Chair of the Lewisburg, WV Housing Committee, Member of the City Storm Water Management Commission, and Member of the Steering Committee to rewrite the City's Comprehensive Master Plan. Additionally I served on the Board of Directors for the Greenbrier County Humane Society and Co-Chaired the Annual Greenbrier Valley Heart Association Walk. Since moving to New Bern I have been able to take advantage of the weather by playing tennis year round, kayaking most of the year and community theatre anytime. I also participate with the Public Radio Reading Service by Reading for the Blind. Lots to do here. Let us talk about it.
