Marcia Werneke

Marcia moved from Maryland to the New Bern area with her family in 1995 and
began her career in Real Estate. Her background in marketing, management, and
sales with a Dun & Bradstreet firm gave her the professional training and skills to
provide a high standard of quality care and service to her clients. Her relocation to
New Bern provided her with the knowledge and empathy needed to understand
the difficulty in moving one’s family to a different area, whether the move is for
retirement or job opportunity. Over the years, she continued her education in
Real Estate, attending additional classes in North Carolina to earn various
designations.

Besides assisting her clients, Marcia has been active in the Real Estate community
serving as President for the Neuse River Association of Realtors, a member of
Board of Directors for many years and volunteered and chaired various
committees. She also served as a State Director for the North Carolina Association
of Realtors for 2 years.

Marcia is committed to assisting her community and lends a helping hand when
needed. She has served as Ambassador to the New Bern Chamber of Commerce,
has volunteered and sheltered animals for the Colonial Capitol Humane Society,
helped with Promise Place, wrote articles as a staff writer for the Fairfield
Harbour Beacon, and spearheaded various fundraisers for those in need.

Living in a recreational resort with her husband Ed and dog Luna, she enjoys
painting, boating, and gardening as her primary sources of relaxation. She is
currently struggling to play the very trying game of golf. Encouraged by her golfing
friends, she follows that small, elusive, white (sometimes pink) ball around the
course, tying to maintain dignity and poise.

Marcia’s dedication and commitment to her clients is sincere which is apparent
upon meeting her.
